1. What Information Do We Collect?

Personal information you disclose to us

In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.

Personal Information Provided by You. The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect may include:

  • names
  • phone numbers
  • date of birth
  • gender
  • university
  • profile photo

Passwords. When you sign up or sign in, you provide a password to authenticate your account. We do not store your password in the app.

Sensitive Information. We do not process sensitive personal information.

Payment Data. If you choose to pay by card, payments are processed by our payment partners. We do not receive or store your full card number or card security code. We may receive payment status information and transaction identifiers from our backend and/or the payment processor. You may find the relevant privacy notice on our payment provider's website.

If you choose to pay via Instapay, you may upload a payment receipt image and enter a transaction reference. Receipt images may include personal information depending on what is visible in the image.

Application and Device Data. When you use our app, we (and our service providers) may collect certain technical data, such as:

  • device and app information (device model, operating system version, app version)
  • diagnostics and crash reports
  • usage and performance data
  • IP address and approximate location derived from IP (depending on your network and service providers)

We use third-party tools to monitor the performance and stability of our Services.

Support Communications. If you choose to contact support through WhatsApp from within the app, WhatsApp will process your communications according to its own privacy policy. We receive the content you send to us and any information WhatsApp shares with us.

Push Notifications. At this time, our app does not implement push notifications.

Location Data. Our app displays map locations for our properties. We do not request or collect your device's precise location. If you choose to open directions in an external maps app (such as Google Maps), that external app may process your location according to its own privacy policy.

Local Storage. The app stores certain information locally on your device to provide core functionality and improve performance, including authentication tokens (stored securely) and cached app data (for example profile and booking/visit data). You can clear cached data by logging out.

All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.

2. How Do We Process Your Information?

In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent.

We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:

  • To facilitate account creation and authentication and otherwise manage user accounts. We may process your information so you can create and log in to your account, as well as keep your account in working order.
  • To deliver and facilitate delivery of services to the user. We may process your information to provide you with the requested service.
  • To fulfill and manage your orders. We may process your information to fulfill and manage your orders, payments, returns, and exchanges made through the Services.
  • To evaluate and improve our Services and user experience. We may process diagnostics, crash reports, and usage information to fix bugs and improve the app.
  • To respond to support requests. If you contact us (including via WhatsApp), we may process the information you provide to respond and resolve issues.

3. When and With Whom Do We Share Your Personal Information?

Vendors, Consultants, and Other Third-Party Service Providers. This means that they cannot do anything with your personal information unless we have instructed them to do it. They will also not share your personal information with any organization apart from us. They also commit to protect the data they hold on our behalf and to retain it for the period we instruct.

  • When we use Google Maps. We use Google Maps to display property/visit locations and to help you open directions. We do not enable in-app "my location" features.

4. Do We Use Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies?

In Short: This is primarily a mobile app. We do not use browser cookies for advertising.

Our Services are provided primarily through our mobile app, which does not use browser cookies in the way websites do. We may use SDKs and similar technologies for diagnostics and app performance monitoring.

5. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (for example for tax, accounting, dispute resolution, or compliance).

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

6. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?

In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.

8. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.
